Twilight's concept started out to mirror the movie franchise, Twilight. But as his character developed, those elements were left out. In fact, there wasn't any concept art of him with those elements. That said, his name is still Twilight because of his coloring. He's a two-tailed, saber angel wolf. His eyes have stars rather than iris, pupils or whites.
